Our big move of 2015 is two months past and we’re exponentially happier in our new space already. Trovati Grand Rapids had been a wonderful experience, even if it wasn’t in our minds when we began our journey.

Trovati began solely as an online endeavor, as our intention was to reach consumers globally. Our products are developed by artists and artisans from around the world, and we wanted to share their beauty on this expansive level. While this goal still remains a top priority, working in a smaller context has provided us with insight that is extremely beneficial to both our online and physical locations.

A new building has given us an opportunity to get to know our customers on a personal level, build relationships with other vendors, and have a hands-on approach with product that wouldn’t be possible in an online setting. We’re seeing an immediate reaction to product, which provides us with information of what’s working and what can be worked upon.

And, on top of it all, it’s fun! We love starting conversations about people’s travels and their connection to a certain product of ours. Working directly with our patrons offers a sense of gratification that is greater than we could have imagined.
