Shell Palmarès by automotive artist Geo Ham is truly a gem. Automotive pieces are not only one of the most collected genres of posters, but pre-WWII automotive posters are practically impossible to find. Geo Ham is perhaps the most iconic automotive illustrator of the Art Deco period, always capturing and conveying mobility, speed, action, and thrill in his imagery. Ham is known for his vast body of work including early Grand Prix posters and numerous automotive magazine covers, however very little of it is available today. Shell Palmarès is an incredible piece as it’s a true example of what most car and race junkies think of when they imagine this golden era of automotive imagery.
