This well-known Art Deco poster was first printed in 1920 as a stone lithograph and has since disappeared almost entirely. The classic birds-eye image was so popular and well-received by consumers that the owners of the music store, the Daude brothers, decided to release a second printing in 1960 to acknowledge their recent storefront address change. While the image and coloring remain the same in the two versions, the printing process and lower text were altered in the second printing to keep up with the changing times. Fortunately for poster lovers, the 1960’s version has survived in a decent quantity, making it one of the more affordable and accessible pieces of this style out there.
