Printed in the early 1930’s, the Lu Biscuit by Firmin Bouisset takes us back to the late 1800’s when the delicious French cookie popularized. A young schoolboy, with an academic medal on his chest, continues his reward by enjoying a delicious Lu Biscuit treat, clearly the more appreciated sentiment. This nostalgic poster resonated with consumers instantly and became so popular that the company released a specialty cookie in its’ honor—the classic, scalloped shortbread with a chocolate-stamped schoolboy on the top, a treat that can still be bought today both in Europe and abroad.
