Qualifies for free shipping! The Cognac Jacquet Poster was printed in 1906, and shortly thereafter became a massive success in advertising. The rich image with it’s colorful peacock had soon become so synonymous with the cognac that the company decided to replace their antiquated white label with the regal and popular bird, rendering this poster ‘obsolete’ in the eyes of advertisers due to its old product labeling. What hadn’t been used was rolled up and stored away. In 2005, Alan sought out the family of the company and bought everything they had left. The original paper and twine packaging was cut here on Maui, 99 years after it was printed.
